This trip was about relaxation throughout the hotel there's lots of places to sit and read or play cards with a beautiful view. We did a lot of that and Laura took advantage of the in house spa one afternoon.
We didn't do any skiing but we brought our snowshoes and got out on the trails. If you like to ice climb, x-country ski, or hike this hotel is perfect as you can literally walk right outside and be faced with whatever you would like to do that day.
For our big dining night out we chose to eat in the Fairview Dining Room. We really liked the menu and the value of the wine pairing that they were offering.
I chose to have the Bison Tartar, Seared Lamb, and the Peanut Butter and Jelly. Laura had the Crispy Shrimp, Beef Tenderloin, and the PB and J also.
The meal started with fresh baked bread that they even offered to top up and before our main we were given a beet sorbet to cleanse our palate. We each had the wine pairing and at 35 dollars was a steal, especially considering what the hotel typically charges for drinks.
The food was all spectacular and theres really not much more to say than go and eat there now!
The service was friendly and our server was always there but not there. Our wine pours were very generous and always presented nicely.
